Inomata — Japanese housewares, made in Yokkaichi

Small questions

Is everything here really made in Japan?

Yes. Every piece in this catalog comes out of Inomata Chemical’s moulds in Yokkaichi, Mie. We do not rebadge imports.

Are the kitchen pieces food-safe?

Kitchen pieces are food-grade polypropylene, BPA-free. Each card’s Details list names the material of that piece.

Can they go in the dishwasher?

Most kitchen pieces take the top rack. The bottom rack sits too close to the heating element for any household plastic, ours included. When a listing says otherwise, believe the listing.

Why do the buttons lead to another site?

Because this is a catalog, not a store. A large retail partner stocks our range and handles checkout, delivery and returns; we handle the making and the explaining.

The price here differs from the listing. Which is right?

The listing, always. Prices move with the seasons; the numbers printed here are a reading aid, and the listing you open has the final word.

Will more pieces appear?

The shelves grow as the partner stocks more of the range. If a piece you know from Japan is missing, it is usually a stock question, not a discontinued one.
